Thank you for downloading NoteFace!

NoteFace is a program I wrote to help my son Tom learn how to read music.
This program has become quite a hit with him and also the rest of the
family. I would very much like to get your comments and/or suggestions
about this program. This program will take advantage of a MIDI keyboard if
one is present, or you can select the keyboard from the Options menu. In
order to run correctly you need a computer that runs Windows 95/98 or
Windows NT version 4 or Windows 2000.

This freeware version will allow you to practice reading from the C major
scale. Just select "Start playing game" from the Game menu and the notes
will move from the right side of the screen to the left. Your job is to
hit the correct note on the keyboard before the note gets to the left side
of the screen. if you guess correctly you will get a little reward at the
bottom of the screen. Wrong guesses will cost you one of your rewards and
if you fail to guess before the note travels accross the screen, well let's
just say things get ugly.

If you want to get the complete version of the software from me just send
$10.00 to the address listed in the About box, found under the Help menu.
I will send you the lastest version for your trouble. The complete version
includes a selectable bass or treble clef as well as any key signature
that you would ever want to practice.

Once again, Thank you and have fun!
