THE FIVE DATA VIEWS

Here is a quick description of the various screens available in the Data Viewer. Click on the links for detailed descriptions of each view.

System Inventory view
The “home” or default view for the Data Viewer.  This displays a clickable summary of your total inventory of audio files in spreadsheet form, showing the number of files in inventory broken down by file type and drive.

Inventory Detail view
This clickable view displays a detail listing of actual audio files in your inventory based upon user-defined search criteria. Displayed information includes full file name and path, and whether you have any information for this file in your custom inventory database.

File Detail view
This editable view displays a multitude of information regarding a specific audio file. The information includes fields from your custom database, file attributes, launch group memberships, and a host of embedded “chunk header” information extracted from the audio file itself.

Drive Detail view
This read-only view provides detailed configuration information and usage statistics for any currently configured drive on your system or network.

The Search screen
This screen is where you access Harbor's powerful search engine. Technically not a data view, but rather a screen for typing in your search request.
