LAUNCHER WINDOW APPLICATION CONTROLS

The Application Controls along the bottom of the Launcher window are the main way to control the global functions of the Launcher window itself.

You will find many of these controls have twins on some of the other windows in Harbor – they will all function similarly no matter in which window they appear.

The following is a description of each of these controls, starting from the right side of the window:

“Exit” Button – Ends/quits Harbor altogether.

 
“Minimize” button – Minimizes the Launcher window to your Windows Task Bar (identical to the standard Minimize button found on most Windows applications.)

“Help” button – Pulls up Harbor’s built-in help documentation.  Each window in Harbor has its own Help Button, designed to display help information relevant to that window.
 
“Tools/Preferences” button – Opens a window for setting Harbor’s custom configuration options and other management tools.
 

“Playlist Editor” button – Opens the Harbor Playlist Editor window. If the Playlist Editor window is already open, this will bring it to the front of your screen. If the window is minimized, it will expand the window back to its original display size and location.
 
  “Waveform Editor” button – Opens the waveform editor you have selected in the Tools/Preferences window.  If no editor has yet been selected in the preferences, Harbor simply pops up a dialog box stating so.  In some circumstances and configurations, the waveform editor will open with the currently selected audio file already loaded into it.
   
Volume control – This slider controls the playback volume of the Launcher window’s audio file player. The volume increases from left to right, with far left being –50dB (50 decibels below maximum volume) and far right being 0dB (maximum volume).  As you drag the volume control left or right to change the volume, you will see the actual numeric volume setting as a “floating tool tip” on your mouse cursor.

NOTE:  The Launcher window and the Playlist Editor window each have their own individual audio playback engines, allowing for separate volume control for each, as well as the ability to play from both engines simultaneously.  As such, this volume control affects the volume of playback for files launched from the Launcher window only. Use the volume control located on the Playlist Editor window to adjust the volume of playback for audio files launched from there.
