USING THE HARBOR HELP SCREEN

The Harbor Audio Manager has full and detailed hypertext documentation built right into it for instant pop-up help in using any and all of Harbor's many powerful tools and features.

Launching the Help screen
To access Harbor's help documentation, simply click on the "Help" button located at the bottom of the majority of Harbor's screens and windows.

Harbor's help system is context-sensitive. This means that Harbor automatically displays the help page most relevant to the screen from which the "Help" button was clicked.

NOTE:  Each time you click on a Help button, a new instance of the Help screen is loaded and   displayed. If you already have a Help screen displayed somewhere on your screen, you may want to use the "Index" button on that screen (see below) to display the help information you desire in that screen rather than launching a second help screen from Harbor.
The choice is entirely yours, however; if you wish to have multiple help screens on your computer display at the same time, you may go ahead and do so.

Using Hypertext
The Help screen looks and  works very much like a web browser; the only difference is the "web" that it browses is limited to Harbor's Help documentation.

The main display of the Help screen displays web page-style pages of help documentation for Harbor. This documentation includes hypertext links just like actual web pages.

Hypertext is denoted by any underlined text that is blue in color; clicking on any of the blue hypertext will immediately display a new help page in the current display that provides further information on that subject.
For example, if the phrase "Launch Groups" is highlighted (as it is right above), clicking on that highlighted phrase with your mouse will display a page of further information on how to use the Launch Groups tool.

The "Back/Fwd" buttons
The "Back" and "Fwd" buttons move you back and forth in your help page viewing history. Clicking the "Back" button will re-display the page you viewed previous to the one you are on. If you them click the "Fwd" button, the display will move forward again to the original page.

These buttons will only work when there are actually pages behind or in front of your current position in the viewing history. For example, if you have just launched the help screen and the currently displayed page is the only one you have seen thus far, the "Back" and "Fwd" buttons will be disabled until there are actually pages in the history for them to go to.

NOTE:  Any time you close the Help screen by clicking it's "Exit" button (see below), the history for that screen is cleared out; when you re-launch a help screen from Harbor, it will then have a "clean" history.

The "Index" button
Click on the Index button at any time to immediately display a "Table of Contents" or index of the entire Harbor help documentation. This index is a hypertext list of every help page available to Harbor. Just click on the page title you desire, and it will be immediately displayed.

The "Title" display
This read-only field next to the Index button displays the title of the currently displayed help page.

The "Print" button
The button all the way to the right of the navigation controls at the top of the Help screen is the "Print" button. Click this button with your mouse to print a copy of the currently displayed help page on your current Windows printer.

The "Exit" button
Click this button at the bottom of the Help screen to completely close the help screen and remove it from your display.
