ADDING LAUNCH GROUPS

When you first install Harbor, the LaunchGroups tool has a single group listed at the top of the tool called “Groups”. This anchor is identified by an icon that resembles the Space Shuttle. This is a permanent fixture of the LaunchGroups tool which cannot be deleted or modified in any way, and is used as the top “anchor” of the Launch Groups hierarchy. It is into this anchor group that you can start adding your custom launch groups and audio files.  

To add a group to the “Groups” anchor, right-click on “Groups” to pop up the Launch Groups edit menu. The only edit option available from the “Groups” anchor will be “Add Group”. Click on that option.

This will display the “Add New Launch Group” form. Simply type in the name of the new launch group you wish to add and click “OK”.  To back out of the Add Group form without actually adding a new group, click “Cancel”.  


To add a group inside of another group you already created, simply click on the group to which you want to add, and follow the same procedure.

The name of the launch group that you are adding the new group to is always displayed at the top of the “Add New Launch Group” form (in this example, the anchor “Groups”.)  

NOTE:  You cannot add a launch group with the identical name as a group that already exists within the same “parent” group.  For example, if you already have a group named “Sound FX” within the “Groups” anchor, you cannot add a second group called “Sound FX” into “Groups”.  Harbor will pop up a dialog box telling you that is a bozo no-no.
  You can, however, have launch groups of the same name with different parents.  It is possible to have both a “Groups\Sound FX” group and a “Groups\Analog\Sound FX” group, for example. You can even have a “Groups\Sound FX” and a “Groups\Sound FX\Sound FX” group if you want.

RENAMING LAUNCH GROUPS 

If you wish to rename an existing launch group at any time, simply right-click on that group and select “Rename” from the options on the pop-up edit menu. This will allow you to rename the group right on the Launch Groups display, exactly like you would rename a file in Windows Explorer.
