EDITING LAUNCH GROUP AUDIO FILE ENTRIES

To change the caption or file/path of an existing audio file entry in the LaunchGroups tool, right-click on the file entry and select “Edit File” from the pop-up file menu.

This will display the Edit File form. This form is identical in nature to the “Add New File to Group” form, except instead of adding a new file to the launch group, it changes the attributes of the clicked file.

Caption
This is where you type in a “nickname” or caption by which you wish to identify the file in the display. For example, if you wish to add the sound effect file of a car crashing to this group, you might give it the caption “Car crash” (you do not need to type the quotation marks.)

File/path

This is where you type in the whole path and file name for the actual audio file associated with this entry.

Browse button
If you do not wish to type the file path and name manually, or are not sure of the exact file path or name, you may click the “Browse” button located just to the right of the file/path field to pop up a standard Windows “file dialog box”, which allows you to browse your system’s (or network’s) drives and folders for the audio file you wish.  When you find and select the desired file, the dialog box will disappear and the selected file name will appear in the file/path field.

When done, click “OK” to save the new information to the LaunchGroups tool. To back out without adding any new information, click “Cancel.
