DATA VIEWER NAVIGATION AND CONTROL BUTTONS

The six navigation and control buttons for the Data Viewer are clustered at the bottom right of the display. Left-click with your mouse on any of these buttons to send that button into action.

The top three buttons (“Search”, “Detail” and “Inventory”) are used for switching between the available views. The bottom three buttons (“Update”, “Print” and “Play”) are used to perform specific functions upon the displayed views.

A blue button – in Fig. 12, the “Detail” button – indicates the current display type.

A red button indicates there is current activity happening regarding that button’s function. For example, if you have clicked on “Update” to update your system inventory database, the “Update” button will turn red while the update is taking place.

Not all buttons will be showing at all times; only those functions or displays available at any given time will have their buttons displayed. For example, since you cannot update your system inventory database while an audio file is playing, the “Update” button will therefore be blank and inactive during playback of a file; once the playback has stopped, the “Update” button will be reactivated.

“Search” button
Click on this button to perform a “fuzzy” keyword search on your inventory and custom databases.

“Detail” button
Returns the display to the previously displayed detail view (Inventory Detail or Drive Detail).  If there has been no detail view yet displayed since you last started the application, Harbor will default to displaying an Inventory Detail list of all audio files in your current inventory.

“Inventory” button
Click here to return to the System Inventory view.

“Update” button
Updates all data relevant to the current view and refreshes the view display. The exact nature of these updates varies between views; refer to the sections on the specific views for details on how the “Update” button works for each.

“Print” button
Prints a hardcopy to your Windows printer of the information contained in the current view.

“Play” button
Launches (plays) the file currently displayed in the File Detail view (only available from the File Detail view.)

While the file is in play, this button turns red and changes its caption to “Stop”.  While like this, it acts as a “stop playback” button for the Launcher window play engine (identical to the “Stop” button located next to the QuickLauncher tool.)

When playback has stopped – by clicking on either “Stop” button or playing the file out to its end – this button will return to its default “Play” button state.
