LAUNCHER PLAYER STATUS DISPLAYS

Tucked neatly in the middle of the Launcher window is the Player Status Display area.

This is a group of displays showing the current status of the audio file player including the filename and user-defined caption of the currently playing (or most recently played) file, the duration of the file, a progress bar showing how much of the current file has played and a status indicator indicating whether the player is currently playing, looping playback, manually stopped or ended.

"File"
This field displays the full path filename of the audio file currently playing in the Launcher. If there is no file currently playing, this display the file last played during this Harbor session (if you end Harbor and then re-start it, this field will be blank.)

"Caption"
This field displays any user-assigned captions associated with the file shown in the “File” field:
If the file was launched from a QuickLaunch preset, the caption of that preset button is displayed.
If the file was launched from the LaunchGroups tool, the caption for that Launch File entry is displayed.
If the file was launched from the Data Viewer, the user database “Caption” field is displayed.

"Length"
The “Length” field displays the duration in hours, minutes, seconds and hundredths of seconds of the file shown in the “File” field.

Play Status Indicator
Next to the “Length” display is the Player Status indicator.  This is a “lamp” which indicates the current play status of the Launcher window’s player engine:

A dark lamp means the player is idle, there is nothing currently playing.

A steady yellow “Playing” display means the displayed file is currently playing.

A steady orange “Looping” display means the file is currently playing in “loop mode” (see the help section entitled "Programming Individual Presets" for more on loop mode.)

A momentary red “Stopped” display means the user has manually stopped the playback by clicking on the “Stop” button located in the QuickLauncher or the “Stop” button of the File Detail display of the Data Viewer.

A momentary green “Ended” display means the current file has finished playing normally.

Player Progress Bar
Above the Play Status indicator is the Player Progress bar. This is a real-time graphic display indicating the relative position of the playback of the current file.

As playback of a file progresses, this bar will "fill in" from left to right. When the bar is filled in all the way to the right, the file will have reached the end of playback.
