THE PLAYLIST DETAIL EDITOR

The large navy blue viewer area comprising most of the Playlist Editor window is the Playlist Detail editor; an interactive display for viewing and editing the contents of your playlist files. This display also shows statistics regarding the displayed playlist, shows which track is currently playing or loaded for play, and contains a “Print” button for printing a hardcopy of the playlist detail information to your Windows printer.

General Playlist Information
The top two lines of the Playlist Detail display general information regarding the state of the current playlist, including: the playlist’s file path/name, the size of the playlist in tracks and time, play status, playback time remaining, and edit status.

Playlist Name – This top field displays the path and filename of the currently displayed playlist.

If the pathname is too long to physically fit into this field, it will be shortened to a best fit. At any time the full path and file name can be seen as your mouse's tool tip text simply by moving your mouse over this field.

“# of Tracks” – This field displays the total number of tracks contained in the current playlist.

"Total Time” – This field displays the total duration (in hh:mm:ss format) of the entire playlist. This duration is the sum total of the length of all tracks in the playlist.

“Time Remaining” – This is a real-time display of how much time (in hh:mm:ss format) remains in playing back the playlist when in play or pause mode.

If the player is not playing or paused, this field indicates the time remaining to the end of the playlist from the start of the currently highlighted track.

Play Status – In the upper right corner of the Playlist Detail display is a red indicator “lamp” describing the current playback player state. There are three possible states that will be displayed:

“Playing” – indicates the player is currently playing the displayed playlist.

“Paused” – Indicates that the playback is currently paused.

unlit – When the status lamp is unlit – i.e. invisible – the player is stopped.

Edit Status – When the contents of the current playlist have been changed (edited) in any way, the phrase “UNSAVED EDIT” will appear in red text under the “Playlist Detail” title. This indicates that the playlist has changed but not yet been saved.

Whenever the “UNSAVED EDIT” indicator is displayed, a red asterisk also appears on the icon of the “Save List” button to indicate that the current version of the playlist has not yet been saved.

When the changes have been saved to disk, these indicators will disappear.

Playlist Detail Information
The main body of the Playlist Detail Editor displays information detailing the contents of the playlist itself.  This information details each track of the playlist in four columns: Track Number, Listing, Time and File.

“#” The track number for each track in the playlist.

“Listing” The name of the track as it would appear in a Winamp display.

“Time” The length (in hh:mm:ss format) of the track.

“File” – The file path and name of the audio file selected for that track. If the pathname is too long to physically fit into this field, it will be shortened to a best fit. At any time the full path and file name can be seen as your mouse's tool tip text simply by moving your mouse over this field.

“Print” button – Click this button to print all of the information detailed on the Playlist Detail display to your standard Windows printer.
