PLAYING BACK YOUR PLAYLISTS

The Playlist Editor will playback any or all of whatever playlist is in the Playlist Detail display.

If left uninterrupted, the playlist will continue playing each track in sequence until the end of the playlist is reached.

The “Current Track”
The track list in the Playlist Detail display always indicates which track is currently loaded in the player by highlighting that track in red text.

This “current track” is the one that is currently loaded into the Playlist player and will play (or is playing) when the “Play” button is clicked.

By default, when a playlist is freshly loaded into the Playlist Detail display – and therefore into the Playlist player – the first track of the playlist is the red-highlighted current track.

To change the current track, simply click with your mouse on the track you want to change to. Alternately, your can also click on the “Reverse” and/or “Forward” buttons of the Transport controls to “walk” the current track highlight up or down the playlist.

Playback and the Current Track
To play the current playlist, simply click the “Play” button located in the Transport controls on the bottom left of the Playlist Editor tool window. Playback will start at the beginning of the highlighted current track.

If you change the current track while the playlist is playing, the playback will automatically jump to the beginning of the new current track and continue playing from there.

When playback reaches the end of a track and moves to the next track in the list, the current track highlight moves with it.

When playback reaches the end of the playlist, playback stops altogether, and the current track resets itself to the beginning of the playlist.

Playback and Invalid Audio Files
If in the course of playing back your playlist, Harbor encounters a track containing a bad audio file – i.e. a track containing an audio file that has been corrupted, stored in an unsupported format, or otherwise rendered unplayable – Harbor will simply skip over that track and move to the next valid track in the list.

Playback Volume
The Playlist Editor and the Launcher window each have their own individual audio playback engines, allowing for separate volume control for each, as well as the ability to play both engines simultaneously.  As such, this volume control affects the volume of playback for your playlists only. Use the volume control located on the Launcher window to adjust the volume of playback for audio files launched from there.

Playing Playlists While Minimized
You can minimize the Playlist Editor tool while playing back your playlist with no ill effect.
