PLAYER TRANSPORT AND VOLUME CONTROLS

These controls along the bottom of the Playlist Editor tool control the playback of the displayed playlist:

“Reverse” button – Moves the current track in your playlist back one track. If the playlist is currently playing, playback will instantly restart at the beginning of the track preceding the one currently in play.
 
“Forward” button – Moves the current track in your playlist forward one track. If the playlist is currently playing, playback will instantly restart at the beginning of the track following the one currently in play.
 
“Play” button – Starts/restarts playback of the currently displayed playlist. If the playlist player is stopped at the time, playback will start at the beginning of the currently highlighted track in the playlist. If the playlist player is paused, playback will resume.
 
“Pause” button – Pauses playback of the playlist. If the playlist player is already paused, then this button will “un-pause” or resume playback at the point where paused.
 
“Stop” button – Stops playlist playback and resets the player to the beginning of the currently highlighted track.


Volume control – This slider controls the playback volume of the Playlist Editor’s playlist player. The volume increases from left to right, with far left being –50dB (50 decibels below maximum volume) and far right being 0dB (maximum volume). As you drag the volume control left or right to change the volume, you will see the actual numeric volume setting as a “floating tool tip” on your mouse cursor.

NOTE:  The Playlist Editor and the Launcher window each have their own individual audio playback engines, allowing for separate volume control for each, as well as the ability to play from both engines simultaneously.  As such, this volume control affects the volume of playback for your playlists only. Use the volume control located on the Launcher window to adjust the volume of playback for audio files launched from there.
