USING THE QUICKLAUNCHER TOOL

The Harbor Audio Manager QuickLauncher is a tool that allows you to play (“launch”) audio files with a single mouse click.

It consists mostly of twenty QuickLaunch “presets” – buttons that can each be associated with a separate audio file, much as the station presets on your car radio are associated with individual radio stations. Just click the preset button with the left button of your mouse (“left-click”), and the file plays.
 
Optionally, each preset can individually be programmed to play in “loop mode”. This means that any or all of the preset audio files can be programmed to play through a single time (standard) or to replay itself over and over – “loop” – until the user stops the playback with the “Stop” button.

 On the right side of the tool are the “Stop” button and the “Configure” button.

 The Stop button stops playback of whatever audio file is currently playing in the Launcher. 

NOTE:  The “Stop” button stops playback of any file playing in the Launcher window’s playback engine. This means that any file playing from anywhere in the Launcher window (QuickLauncher, Launch Groups or Data Viewer) can be stopped with this button.

The “Configure” button is used to pop up a configuration screen for programming the QuickLaunch preset buttons of the QuickLauncher.

 
Blank Presets
When you first install Harbor, the QuickLaunch presets are blank; there are no audio files assigned to any of the preset buttons.

Any blank, or unused, presets are displayed with the number of the preset button (1 through 20). Such unused presets do nothing when you left-click them. You need to “tell” Harbor which audio files you want associated with any given preset.

There are two basic methods for setting or programming the QuickLaunch presets, individually or as a group.
