THE "DB SEARCH OPTIONS" SETTINGS

This box on the right side of the “Tools/Preferences” menu is where you set the options for Harbor’s database search engine.

This box contains a series of checkboxes for selecting/deselecting which part or parts of Harbor’s databases and search ranges are enabled at any given time.

Per Harbor’s configuration display conventions, when a checkbox value has changed but not yet been saved via clicking either the menu’s “OK” or “Apply” button, the checkbox will have a red “drop border” around it. Once the new setting has been saved, the checkbox will return to its regular borderless condition.

Enable Embedded Info
Check the separate checkbox on the top, labeled “Enable Embedded Info” to enable Harbor’s ability to search the embedded chunk header info of your audio files when performing text searches.

File Attributes
Check this box to instruct Harbor to include the physical audio file attributes as part of its search range.

User DB
Check this box to instruct Harbor to include your custom user database records as part of its search range.

Embedded Info
Check this box to instruct Harbor to include the chunk header information that is embedded within your audio files as part of its search range.

This checkbox option is only enabled when the “Enable Embedded Info” check box has been checked and saved.

For a detailed explanation of Harbor's search capabilities and how these search option settings work, see the help section entitled  Using the Harbor Search Engine”.
