THE "WAVEFORM EDITOR" SETTING

This box along the bottom of the “Tools/Preferences” menu is where the actions of the Launcher window’s “Waveform Editor” button are controlled.

           

Entering the waveform editor filename
The gray text entry field is where you type in the full path and filename for the waveform editor program that you wish to be launched whenever you click on the Launcher window’s “Waveform Editor” button.

If you are not sure of the full path and filename, or you have too much barbecue sauce on your fingers from eating those ribs to type it in, you can click on the “Browse” button immediately to the right of this field.

The “Browse” button will pull up a standard Windows file dialog box allowing you to browse through the drives and folders of your system, looking for the waveform application file. “Opening” or selecting the application file will unload the dialog box and insert the application’s full path and filename into the text field.

Export File
Check this checkbox to instruct Harbor to automatically load any audio files that may currently appear in a visible File Detail view into your configured waveform editor when the “Waveform Editor” button is clicked.The help section entitled "Supported Waveform Editors" provides a technical explanation of how this works and a partial list of waveform editors that have been tested for compatibility with Harbor's Waveform Editor button and the "Export file" feature.
