PLAYING BACK AN AUDIO FILE FROM
THE DATA VIEWER

The Data Viewer in the Harbor Audio Manager can be used to find and examine your audio files both visually and aurally. You can play back or preview your audio files directly from the Data Viewer.

Playing from the Inventory Detail view
A fast and easy shortcut to playing/previewing any file in your inventory is to right-click on the file when listed in any Inventory Detail view list. This right-click will immediately display a File Detail view for that file and automatically play the file at the same time.

Playing from the File Detail view
Any File Detail view generated from a left-click in the Inventory Detail view also makes visible the Data Viewer’s “Play” button. Just click on the "Play" button to play/preview the displayed file.

While the file is in play, this button turns red and changes its caption to “Stop”.  While like this, it acts as a “stop playback” button for the Launcher window play engine (identical to the “Stop” button located next to the QuickLauncher tool, which also works in this case.)

When playback has stopped – by clicking on either “Stop” button or playing the file out to its end – this button will return to its default “Play” button state.

NOTE: Since a File Detail view generated from an Inventory Detail right-click will be accompanied by an automatic audio playback of the displayed file, causing the "Play" button to be activated as a red "Stop" button (since the file is already playing.)
