Starting:

When GFP is started it will present the initial screen, then you can:

Create a new personal finance control file.
Open an existing file
Open a recently opened file.

If it's the first time you open GFP then you should click on "Create new Finance Control file?"
After that it's necessary to know how are organized the GFP main screens, so you will be able to take the best from GFP features.
When you get familiarized with GFP screens, you need to registry all banks you have a relationship (account, credit card, ...)
Now we need to regitry all bank accounts, account saving and credit cards
And finally it's possible to perform transactions for each account using the appointments screen.
