All GFP windows have the same layout, it means the fields and button are
organized using a pattern repeated on every window to allow an easy localization
of the features at any window. That mean when we explain the general features of
any window we'll be explaining features presents on others windows.
There are GFP windows that have some particularities,
which will be explained on its specific help topic.
This is a GFP window example:
This is the Banks registry window, But by now we will use it to identify some characteristics that will exist on every GFP window.
All GFP window are subdivided in 3 areas, the a) left upper side we have the data fields for some information. On b) right side we have the basic operation buttons and at bottom c) we have all data listed within a table.
a) The fields are always located at left side at the top of the window
With these fields is possible to change a previous saved data or insert new data to be saved. All window have the ?Description? field. This field can be filled freely with any kind of information and generally it is not mandatory write anything their; BUT there are some windows that requires this information as obligatory and its should be correct to help the GFP work.
b) The button offer the basic operations to manipulate the data, at the screen. The commented buttons will exist on every GFP window.
| The "New" button inserts the data present on data fields as a new registry | |
The "Save" button saves the information loaded on data fields |
|
The "Delete" button removes the selected data from registries |
|
| The "Clear" button clean the data fields, without removing the registry from data base | |
| The "Search" button perform a data base search and load to data fields the first occurrence that match the parameters typed on data fields | |
| The "Refresh" button refresh the data listed on table, removing any applied fileter | |
| The "Filter" button use a criteria (typed on data fields) to limit the data listed on table. To remove the filter use the "Refresh" button |
c) The table data contains a list with all data that are registered and can be edited. Its contents can be changed by applying a filter criteria. If there are many data it will be divided on pages, so the table can be paged using the Paging buttons that inform what page is being viewed and how much pages are loaded. There is a ?Print? button that allows to print the table content as a report, this feature combined with filtering, it is possible to obtain many reports matching a variety of parameters. The Appointments window use this combination to offer reports that allow a detailed view of your finances.
