Selecting KOI8-R Layout on Windows NT/2000/XP

   1. From the Start menu, select Control Panel.
   2. Double Click on the Regional and Language Options panel to open it.

   3. Click on the Languages tab at the top of the dialog.

   4. Click the Details... button.

      Click on the Add... button. This window lists the installed languages and associated keyboard layouts on your computer
.
   5. If you have more than one language installed, select the language you want the Russian KOI8-R keyboard layout associated with from the Input Language list (I use Russian).

   6. From the Keyboard layout/IME list, select Russian KOI8-R, then OK.

   7. Optional - repeat steps 3 to 5 to activate the alternate KOI8-R layout.

   8. If you want Inuttitut to be the default keyboard layout, select it from the Default Input Language list. The language and keyboard layout that appears in bold in the list is the default layout.

Notes:

    * You can have both standard Russian and Russian KOI8-R layouts available and you can switch between them with the language bar.
    * To activate the language bar to switch languages and keyboard layouts, click on the Language Bar button in the Text Services and Input Languages dialog and make the appropriate selections.
